Akaroa, New Zealand

Neider's, Turner's, Brazzeal's, President Kezerian
Akaroa Harbour is one of two underwater volcanic craters which make up the Banks Peninsula.  It has amazing rock formations and a carved coastline.  We were told the French arrived at Akaroa in 1840 only to find the British had already arrived and claimed sovereignty.  However, the atmosphere is definitely French.

Elder Turner decided to hang with the Captain

Our boat named Into The Blue

The captain was great!  He gave commentary on history, geology, Maori traditions and was really a fun guide.
